The Wolf That Razed Us is an intercontinental, contemporary screendance project featuring the talents of over 80 artists, administrators, and design team members from the United States and Panama. Led by Boca Tuya Director and Choreographer Omar Román De Jesús in partnership with Analida Galindo (Fundación Espacio Creativo, Panama) and Ximena Aleta (Gramo Danse, Panama), this contemporary dance theater film takes an absurdist approach to the global forces that affect human decision-making. The work provides a critical opportunity to celebrate Panamanian Artists on a global scale, upholding our team’s commitment to providing pathways to a sustainable life in the arts for up and coming LatinX/a/o arts leaders. Production of The Wolf That Razed Us will occur in 2023 at 11 locations in Panama City, Panama. The film is set to premiere in late 2023 at PRISMA International Contemporary Dance Festival with opportunities for future screenings at festivals, universities, museums, and other cultural sites around the world.

Join us in uplifting the voices of the LatinX diaspora through dance. Contribute to this project today.

This season, Boca Tuya has been invited to perform in Spain, Israel, and the United States. The tour will involve master classes as well as the presentation of Boca Tuya repertory. Our first touring event of the season will take place at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Islas Canarias, Spain in October 2022. Touring constitutes an important part of our mission to provide mature contemporary dance artists with the tools they need to sustain a life in contemporary dance. By building international relationships, our dancers are able to participate in new projects, serve as creative ambassadors, gain leadership insights, and become better global citizens. For a complete schedule of our upcoming tour activities, visit our season calendar.
