Fernando Ramos Cintrón

Fernando Ramos Cintrón started dancing at age 16 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He continued his training in Murfreesboro, Tennessee while attending Middle Tennessee State University and danced for 3 years with the pre-professional dance company MTSU Dance Theatre. After graduating, he worked with CoDa 21 as a guest artist for 3 years. In 2016, he helped found the contemporary dance collective, Claroscuro.
As an independent choreographer he has set work in local companies Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico, CoDa 21, and Ballets de San Juan. He has also collaborated with local youth theater company, Teatro Cedín. Associate choreographer in "Billy Elliott:The Musical", Movement Director in "The Curious Incident of the dog in the Night-Time" and Choreographer in "Once on This Island". His latest work, "Perenne" was commissioned by the Puerto Rican Cultural Institute during the pandemic for their 65th anniversary celebration.
